Family Onlocation Photographer Mote Park with Siblings Taila & Jimmy
Like lots of my clients, Ruth contacted me over the website and booked an appointment for an onlocation photoshoot. She was coming along with younger son Jimmy and his older sister Taila.
Autumn is a wonderful season for photography. For the first few shots I asked Taila and Jimmy to lay amongst the autumn golden leaves. Taila was wearing a lovely checkered scarf while Jimmy had on a white linen shirt. They lay on their backs and looked upwards to face the camera. On-location photography is fabulous, as there are copious backdrops to choose from, at Mote Park there are lines of trees, pretty park benches, old tree stumps and winding paths. I took some snaps while Taila and Jimmy were lifting dry autumn leaves and hurling them at each other. family onlocation photographer mote park
Changing Theme
Taila and Jimmy shifted to a more loving embrace as I took four shoots of her holding Jimmy and snuggling while they are seated on the large fallen tree stump. It’s a collage of love and affection. I found a wooden railing fencing and they leaned in on it, I love the parallel lines created with the railing and it works fabulously well for portrait shots. Jimmy was such a handsome, smiley little chap and looked super cute in all of his portrait photos. family onlocation photographer mote park
I couldn’t miss an opportunity to shoot Taila when she was seated next to a tree stump while leaning her arm on it and staring at the afterglow of the setting sun with the autumn leaves all around her. I also took some candid portraits of her leaning on the rails while dressed in a checked scarf, white feathery short sleeve jacket and a beige long-sleeve sweater, she looked thoughtful and pretty. I stayed with that theme as I got another candid portrait of her with her arm resting on a railing, her face glows in the rays. Her hair runs over her face and the autumn flair around her reflects in her eyes. We changed theme and next on is Taila running with Jimmy on a deserted pavement through the garden. Both of them are in white tops, denims and boot, which works really well with the autumnal theme. family onlocation photographer mote park
More Portraits …
Taila and Jimmy made a number funny poses in front of a rustic door with graffiti engravings for several group and portrait photos. In the images that followed, Taila and Jimmy are on the pavement embracing each other, after which they are joined by their Mum while they are seated on the pavement among the leaves. It took a little persuasion to get Mum in the pics, but she was pleased and pleasantly surprised but the results.
I took a few final portraits of Taila as she was seated alone on the pavement, in different poses, while her long beutiful hair blows in the wind. And the last photo is a traditional portrait photo of Taila looking out into the distance while leaning on the railings.
After editing the photos I was happy to present Ruth with a gallery of 130 images to choose from and here is a snap shot from their gallery. family onlocation photographer mote park
Onlocation photoshoots can take place all year round, each season presents new beautiful unique opportunities for creating great photos. Even when its cold, with the family wrapped in wooly hats and winter scarves look homely and warm. The Spring creates colourful, bright, vivid backdrops and during the Summer we can take advantage of the hot rays from the sun and can feel free and liberated in your favourite summer outfits, brimmed straw hats and cool sunglasses, the kids can play with bubbles and climb banks and play in the sand on the beach and finally Autumn surrounds us with hues of burnt orange and textured dry leaves of so many different colours to play with.
