Food Photographer Woking and Fleet – Cellar Magneval Wine Bar
Cellar Magneval Food and Drink Photoshoot
It feels amazing to have the chance to shoot something that I really love – food and wine. The owners, Jo and Thierry de Magneval, are passionate about food and drink and this reflects in their in their hospitality venture at their two wine bars in Woking and Fleet. food photographer woking
I have shared a number of photos from the fantastic photoshoot, which you can view in the gallery below. The food and drink present at these wine bars has everything I look for in a creating striking images – Colour, texture, pattern, line, shape, and form. This helped a lot during the shoot and also made the photographs become my favoruite images that I have taken. Lighting is one of the important aspect of food photography and I manipulated the light source effectively to make the images impressive. food photographer woking
Jo had some fabulous chopping boards in their kitchen store, so together with the natural window light, diffusers, and mirror reflectors some great on-location food shots could be created. Another important feature you can see in some of the images is the shallow depth of field, to create a beautiful bokeh effect. Additional items such at cutlery, jam jars, freshly made bread and napkins are added to each shot to create a nice lifestyle feel to the photographs. Also to denote the ingredient within the product is important as this is not always obvious, so for a couple of the images a few pistachios were scattered beside the cured meets. This informs you what is inside the product as well as making for a more creative image.
I’m excited to visit both the wine bars again soon, the places have a cool and relaxing vibe that pulls you into the culture it has built itself to serve. Whether you are coming for the food, drinks, or to meet up with like-minded people, Woking and Fleet should be on your frequently visited places. Their cheeses are to die for and their wine list is truly extensive!
About Food Photography
Food Photography combines two of my most favourite words – food and photography. Food Photography is all about making the viewer’s mouth water and stomach rumble when they take a look at the pictures. Food photography is all about creativity and lighting and camera technique, together with different types of food this can give creative freedom to express your love for food.
